Janet McCardy established a new primary and elementary school in Kenya in 2007 with funding from The Smith Foundation.

It was absolutely thrilling to be with baseball legend Tommy Lasorda and Mike Milken at Minute Maid Park watching our much loved Houston Astros and presenting a check to the Home Run Challenge to support vital prostate cancer research.
Sue and I were all smiles for many reasons—I was alive, we were (and are) head over heels in love, and we were dancing like there was no tomorrow. Pure joy!
